FOR almost 15 years now, a fun-filled excursion to Star City has become a Filipino Yuletide staple as eating bibingka and puto bumbong, displaying the parol or attending Misa de Gallo. But kids young and old don?t have to wait until Christmas to explore Manila?s famous fairground because the entertainment center is set to officially open its gates for 2005 tomorrow. For those whose goal is to ride-all-they-can, there are a total of 33 rides and attractions in the park. The must-see for the year is ?Kong,? with the gargantuan gorilla that lords over a chilling menagerie of creatures from the prehistoric age, the deep jungles and even modern cityscapes, as well as the heart-thumping Zyklon with its 360-degree loop.
